p-Value¶
A p-value is the probability of obtaining results at least as extreme as the observed results, assuming the null hypothesis is true.
In practical terms:
- Small p-value (typically < 0.05): The observed data is unlikely under the null hypothesis, so you reject the null hypothesis
- Large p-value: The observed data is consistent with the null hypothesis, so you fail to reject it
If the p-value is less than or equal to the decision criteria, we can reject the null hypothesis in favor of the alternative.
Quantum XL will display small p-values (less than or equal to the decision criteria) in red font.
