The purpose of the Advisor Wizard is to ask you questions about your data and advise you on the correct test to perform.

Using the wizard, you will be asked about dataset normality, variance, or outliers. You can use the following tools to answer those questions:

• Is your data normal? Use Normality test.

• Datasets have equal variance?

  • Use F-Test when analyzing 2 samples.
  • Use Bartlett's test when analyzing more than 2 samples.

• Datasets have outliers? Use Box Plot to detect outliers.

The Wizard flow is given below:

• Is your data Qualitative or Quantitative?
  • Qualitative
    • Poisson
    • Binomial
  • Quantitative
    • Which parameter are you interested in?
      • Variance
        • Is your data normal?
          • Yes
            • How many samples?
              • Two samples. Run F-test.
              • More than two. Run Bartlett's test.
          • No
            • Run Levene's test.
      • Location parameter (Mean/Median)
        • Is your data normal?
          • Yes, proceed with tests for the Mean.
            • How many samples?
              • One sample. Run One-sample t-test.
              • Two samples.
                • Is data in pairs?
                  • Yes. Run Paired t-test.
                  • No, data is independent.
                    • Samples have equal Variances?
                      • Yes. Run Two-sample t-test with 'Assume equal variances' option checked.
                      • No. Run Two-sample t-test with 'Assume equal variances' option unchecked.
              • Three or more samples.
                • Samples have equal Variances?
                  • Yes. Run One-way ANOVA.
                  • No. Run Two-sample t-test with 'Assume equal variances' option unchecked.
          • No, data is not normal. Proceed with tests for the Median.
            • How many samples?
              • One sample
                • Samples come from symmetrical distributions?
                  • Yes. Run 1-sample Wilcoxon test.
                  • No. Run 1-sample sign test.
              • Two samples
                • Matched samples?
                  • Yes. Run Friedman test.
                  • No. Run Mann-Whitney test.
              • More than two samples
                • Datasets have outliers?
                  • Yes. Run Mood's Median test.
                  • No. Run Kruskal-Wallis test.
