Empirical Data¶

From Excel click...

QXL Monte Carlo Tab > Create / Modify Design Sheet > Create Empirical

If your data doesn't fit one of the Supported Distributions, you can use the empirical data distribution as an alternative. You will be prompted for the name of the empirical distribution.

Empirical Form

After you name the empirical variable, you will be given a new worksheet with a place to enter the data that defines the empirical variable. All of the data must fall below the label name in a single column.

Empirical Example

At least 100 data points are recommended, although more would provide a better distribution.
