Create Experimental Designs¶
This section covers the tools for creating various types of experimental designs in Quantum XL.
Getting Started¶
- Create Design - Overview of the design creation process
- Design Wizard - Step-by-step wizard for creating designs
- Factor Names and Coding - Setting up factor names and levels
- Define Replicates and Blocks - Adding replication and blocking
- Define Outputs - Specifying response variables
- Modify Design - Making changes to existing designs
Screening Designs¶
Screening designs are used to identify the most important factors from a large number of candidates.
- Two Level Factorial Designs - Full and fractional 2-level factorial designs
- Plackett-Burman Design - Highly efficient screening designs
Response Surface Designs¶
Response surface designs are used to model and optimize a response.
- Three-Level Factorial Designs - Full 3-level factorial designs
- Box-Behnken Designs - Efficient 3-level designs for response surfaces
- Create Central Composite (CCD) Design - Central composite designs for response surface modeling
Other Design Types¶
- N-Level Factorial Design - General factorial designs with any number of levels
- Taguchi Designs - Robust parameter designs
- Create D-Optimal - Algorithmically generated optimal designs
- Create Custom Design - Build your own custom design matrix
Historical Data¶
- Setup Historical Analysis - Analyze data from past experiments
